Carpets and sound insulation – Soundproofing car doors is often the first step in increasing the intensity of low and mid tones, eliminating reverberations and resonances or simply achieving high sound pressure. It turns out that thanks to it it no longer makes sense to replace some speakers. Sound insulation is achieved through the use of special self-adhesive soundproof mats, which are installed in the vehicle’s door chamber. The mats are made of a number of different materials, but the most popular are butyl-based mats with an aluminum foil cover (for hardening) as they are not overly expensive and also retain all of their properties over a wide temperature range (they work well in winter and summer heat).
Mounting spacers – They have already been mentioned, but it is worth remembering again: These elements, usually made of MDF, are used in the assembly of speakers on sheet metal, as a separation and vibration damping element. Thanks to its use, the transmission of vibrations to the sheet metal is not only very limited, but also practically eliminated.
